Joe Aker is an internationally known Architectural Photographer and Multi-media artist. As an Architectural photographer he has traveled the world to capture the work of international Architects and Real Estate Developers. His work has been published in all the major Architectural publications and has won awards for many of the firms. In 2007, he was named Artist of the Year by the Houston American Institute of Architects. His work has also been exhibited in Galleries and Museums. His work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and his first 40 years of Architectural photography was acquired by the Special Collections Library at the University of Houston. His work is in the collections of Chase Bank, Methodist Hospital, The George R. Brown Convention Center, HEB, Dow Chemical, JLL Real Estate, Sam Houston State University, Gallant Construction, Hines, and many other corporate and private collections.
